Forehead Lines
Horizontal creases across the forehead. One of the most common requests and often the first area people notice in themselves.

| Onset | Peak Effect | Duration | Best For | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Botox® | 3-5 days | 10-14 days | 3-4 months | The proven standard. Predictable, well-studied, ideal for first-time guests. |
| Dysport® | 2-3 days | 7-10 days | 3-4 months | Faster onset. Diffuses slightly more, often preferred for the forehead. |
| Jeuveau® | 2-3 days | 10-14 days | 3-4 months | "Newtox", newer formulation, popular for glabellar (between the brows) lines. |
Horizontal creases across the forehead. One of the most common requests and often the first area people notice in themselves.
The vertical lines between the brows from concentration and frowning. Softening these is often described as looking "less tired."
The fine lines that fan out from the outer corners of the eyes. Common after age 30 and respond especially well to neuromodulators.
The diagonal lines that appear on either side of the nose when smiling or scrunching. A small but high-impact area.
Tiny doses along the upper lip border that allow the lip to gently roll outward, creating a subtle fullness without filler.
The "orange-peel" texture on the chin from an overactive mentalis muscle. A few units smooths it noticeably.
Larger doses into the masseter muscles for jaw slimming and TMJ tension relief. Effects develop over several weeks.
The vertical platysmal bands on the neck. Softening these is part of a "Nefertiti lift" technique that lifts the lower face.
Excessive underarm sweating. An FDA-approved medical use of Botox® that produces dramatic, long-lasting results.
Your injector sits with you to understand what you're hoping for. We look at your face at rest and in expression, identify the muscles driving each line you're concerned about, and discuss which product is best suited to your anatomy and your goals. There is no pressure to treat more areas than you came in for.
Your injector marks the precise injection points on your skin using a non-staining liner. Mapping is where the artistry happens, the difference between an injection that softens a line and one that subtly lifts the brow is millimeters and the angle of the needle.
The injections themselves take about 10 minutes for a standard treatment. We use ultra-fine needles. Most guests describe the sensation as a small pinch and a brief sting. We do not numb the skin in most cases, the discomfort is minimal and short-lived.
You'll receive written aftercare instructions: no lying down for four hours, no strenuous exercise for 24 hours, no facials or massage for 24 hours, no alcohol that evening. You can apply makeup an hour after treatment. Most guests return directly to work.
If you're a new guest, we invite you back at two weeks to assess the result and add a small touch-up if needed. This is included in your initial treatment. Most guests don't need it. Some appreciate the option.
Pricing is personal, it depends on your goals and the plan we build together. We share exact pricing at your complimentary consultation, transparently and before anything begins.

The treatment reaches full effect. Lines soften, expressions become more relaxed, and the face looks more rested without looking different. This is when you'll book your two-week follow-up if you're new to us.
Results gradually wear off. Movement returns to the treated muscles. Most guests rebook before the wear-off becomes noticeable, which keeps results consistent over time.

It depends entirely on the area and your anatomy. Typical first-time doses: forehead 10-20 units, glabellar (the 11s) 20-25 units, crow's feet 10-24 units per side, masseter (jaw slimming) 40-60 units per side. Most guests who treat the upper face fully use 40-60 units total. Your injector will recommend a starting dose during consultation based on your muscle activity, not a fixed price-per-area menu.
Botox®, Dysport®, and Jeuveau® typically last 3-4 months. Longevity depends on dose, area treated, your metabolism, exercise level (very active guests sometimes metabolize faster), and how consistently you treat. Guests who maintain a regular schedule often find their results last incrementally longer over time.
Both use a closely related active ingredient (botulinum toxin type A) and both relax facial muscles to soften wrinkles. The practical differences: Dysport® has a slightly faster onset (2-3 days vs 3-5 for Botox) and a different unit-to-dose ratio (roughly 3 units of Dysport per 1 unit of Botox). Dysport tends to diffuse a bit more, which is why some injectors prefer it for the forehead. The choice between them is usually about anatomy and personal response, not which is "better."
Jeuveau® (sometimes called "Newtox") was approved in 2019 and is dosed similarly to Botox at the same per-unit cost most places. Many guests find Jeuveau particularly effective for glabellar lines. The two are very close clinically; your injector will recommend based on your history and anatomy.
Botox® has been used cosmetically for over 20 years and is among the most-studied aesthetic treatments. When performed by a licensed injector using authentic, properly stored product, serious adverse events are rare. Common side effects (mild bruising, brief headache, temporary asymmetry) are well-documented and usually resolve on their own. The most important safety factor is who is injecting you. At Rêve, every injector is licensed, trained, and overseen by our medical director.
Common, temporary effects include mild redness, small bumps at injection sites that fade within hours, occasional bruising, and brief headache. Less common: temporary asymmetry that resolves within two weeks, or eyelid heaviness if product migrates (rare with proper technique). Serious effects are rare and would be discussed during your consultation. See the safety section above for the full list.
There's no specific age that's "right." Many guests start preventatively in their late 20s to early 30s, often after noticing that expression lines are beginning to stay between expressions. Others wait until their 40s or 50s when established lines are the concern. Both are valid. We don't believe in pushing treatment on guests who don't need it, and we'll tell you honestly if we think you should wait.
You'll start to notice softening within 3-5 days for Botox® and Jeuveau®, and within 2-3 days for Dysport®. Full effect is typically visible at the two-week mark. If you have an event coming up, plan to treat at least two weeks in advance.
No strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Light walking is fine. The reason: vigorous activity can increase blood flow to the face and potentially allow product to migrate slightly. After 24 hours, return to your normal routine.
We recommend avoiding alcohol the evening of your treatment. Alcohol thins the blood and can increase bruising. After 24 hours, you're fine.
Smaller doses placed before deep lines form, intended to slow the formation of etched-in wrinkles later. The doses are typically half what we'd use for full treatment, the result is subtle, and the cost per visit is lower. Many guests start preventative treatment in their late 20s or early 30s. See the dedicated section above for the longer answer.
Yes. Botox® is FDA-approved for chronic migraine. The protocol is different from cosmetic dosing (higher units, different injection points, typically 31 sites across the head and neck). We can discuss whether you'd be a candidate during consultation; for chronic migraine specifically, your insurance may also cover the treatment under a neurology referral.
Yes, masseter Botox® is one of the most effective treatments for TMJ tension from jaw clenching and bruxism (teeth grinding). The treatment relaxes the masseter muscle, which reduces clenching force, eases jaw pain, and over time can slim the lower face. Most guests start with 30-50 units per side and feel relief within 2-3 weeks.
Of course. Roughly a quarter of our injectable patients are men. The dosing tends to be higher because male facial muscles are typically larger, and the approach is calibrated to maintain masculine brow position and expression. Many of our male guests start with subtle forehead and glabellar work, and quietly become regulars.
For volume loss, deeper static lines, and structural enhancement. Often used alongside neuromodulators for a complete result.
